Sacrament of Reconciliation

Following on from other successful days, there are Confessions available in St. Andrew’s Cathedral on Tuesday 19 December from 7.45am to 5.30pm.  On Saturday morning 23 December, Fr. John will be at Holy Cross for 10.00am Mass followed by Confessions while Fr. Joe Sullivan from Croy will be in our parish.

 

St Nicholas Care Fund

This week, the 3rd Sunday of Advent there will be a second collection for the Care fund.

 

SVdP

The Green Box is in the usual place at the back of the church for any food donations you’d like to make.  This has been a great success in the past.  Thank you for your generosity.

 

Church cleaning

Volunteers are required to help clean the church for Christmas.  If you can help, please come along after 10.00am Mass on Thursday.

 

Funeral arrangements

The funerals of Rose Watters and Allan Devlin will take place this week.  Details are:

 

Rose Watters’ remains will be brought to the church on Tuesday evening at 6.00pm and her requiem Mass will be on Wednesday at 10.00am.

 

Allan Devlin’s remains will be brought to the church on Friday morning for his requiem Mass which is at 10.00am,.

 

Please keep both Rose and Allan and their families in your prayers.

 

Care and repair

This is a service offered by North Lanarkshire Council to home owners aged over 65 or who are disabled.  It covers small plumbing, electrical and joinery jobs at a charge of £12 plus materials per job.  For further information call 0330 303 0301 or see www.northlan.care-and-repair.org

Ecumenical Advent reflections in Church of the Holy Name, Seafar on Wednesday 20 December at 7.00pm.  All welcome.
